Brother UK, part of Japan-based Brother Industries, is well known for its print and scan, labelling and business solutions. Founded in 1908 and operational in Europe since the 1950s, its workforce reflects a culture of longevity and commitment, with the average length of service in Europe in the mid-teens, with many employees staying for 30 or 40 years.
Following organic growth in Europe, spend management across countries had become disjointed. Some offices were using SAP Concur solutions while others were using Excel spreadsheets or other local systems. Stuart says, “Rolling out SAP Concur solutions across Europe was an obvious quick win on our journey to standardisation and automation, whilst also supporting employee engagement.”
“We weren’t looking to bring in robots onto a production line. We were looking for a solution that would improve visibility into spend data and enhance employee experience, enabling them to add value to the broader organisation in terms of reporting and analysis.” - Stuart Maclean, Head of Finance & Corporate Planning, Brother UK
