SAP Concur Brings Clarity and Simplicity to Hoyer Petrolog UK Ltd’s Expense Management
More than just automation. Hoyer Petrolog UK uses Concur Travel & Expense to manage its expenses. The company switched to SAP Concur seeking a solution to help automate their expense process.

The use of Excel Spreadsheets was time-consuming and hard to track. With managers on the road every day meeting customers and local offices as well as IT staff travelling across Europe, expense management and delivering compliance had an impact on the business.
Now employees appreciate the mobile application – being able to scan receipts immediately has created an automated workflow and approval process, creating benefits not only for the end users but for the finance team and the company’s tax compliance.
“It makes our job easier; users get their money sooner and it is far simpler to complete VAT returns,” he says.
Hoyer is an international logistics business, based in Hamburg, Germany and is a worldwide market leader in moving liquids by road, rail and sea. In 2015, group revenues were up 7% to €1.2 billion. Globally, the bulk of group revenues come from chemical logistics. However, in the UK, the majority of the business comes from supplying petroleum to forecourts. Hoyer Petrolog is the UK market leader and holds contracts with some of the UK’s largest petrol retailers. In 2015, revenue from the UK petrol business was £90 million, with £19 million generated on chemicals.
